He noted that the trees that were cut had diffused the sound
by scattering it.

Mr~ Noxon suggested that there were a number of simple methods to reduce the noise ~mpact to
the neighborhood. First, the paint on the upper one-third of the wall could be sa d
re-establish its sound ~,~,,~.;:.. ..... ~..,: .. ~ . ~ ~ n blasted to
these -ro-e~ie~ 2 ~,~,~(~ quinines, increasing the surthce roug~ess could further ~crease
p p s. beconcl, ODOT could place concrete fire barriers along the side of Highway
1-105 to create a second sound barrier. These devices, which are about 3 feet tall, could reduce
sound as much as 5 dBA. Finally, ODOT could repave the elevated section of Highway 1-105 tO
reduce the greater than normal noise created by vehicles travel/rig over this rough section of the
fromr°ad' betweenMr' NoXOnsevenCOncludedand ten thatdBA.a combination of these three actions could reduce the noise level

Receiving no further comments, the public heahng was closed at 8:01 p.m.
Respectfully Submitted,
