The Eugene and Lane County Planning Commissions held a joint public hearing on <br />the measures to establish the Chase Node on January 8, 2002. <br /> <br /> G. After the public hearing, the Eugene Planning Commission held work sessions on <br />January 28, 2002 and April 2, 2002, and recommended approval of the measures with certain <br />revisions. After a work session on May 21, 2002, the Lane County Plmming Commission also <br />recommended approval of the measures with the revisions identified in the Eugene Planning <br />Commission reconm~endation. <br /> <br /> H. On August 27, 2002 notice of the Joint Eugene City Council/Lane County Board of <br />Cormnissionem hearing was mailed to owners of property' subject to the amendments, the <br />neighborhood association, and those who had requested to be placed on the Interested Parties list for <br />the Metro Plan amendment. Notice of that hearing was also published in the Register-Guard on <br />August 27, 2002. <br /> <br /> The Eugene City Council held a public hearing on the request on September 18, 2002, <br />and is now' ready to take action on the requested amendments. <br /> <br /> & Evidence exists within the record and the findings attached hereto that the proposal <br />meets the requirements of Chapter 9 of the Eugene Code, 1971, and the requirements of applicable <br />state and local law. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, <br /> <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. The Metro Plan Diagram is amended to change the underlying designations <br />of 6 properties and to add the ND-Nodal Development designation to those properties, as identified <br />and described on Exhibit A attached hereto. The Metro Plan Diagram is further amended to add the <br />ND-Nodal Development designation to 41 properties identified and described on Exhibit A. The <br />underlying designations fbr these 41 properties shall remain unchanged. <br /> <br /> Section 2. Consistent with the provisions of EC 9.7750(4), the Willakenzie Area Plan land <br />use diagram located between pages 19 and 20 of the Willakenzie Area Plan is automatically amended <br />to apply the ND-Nodal Development designation as reflected in Exhibit A. <br /> <br /> Section 3. <br />Use Elemem - Chase <br />Ordinance. <br /> <br />The Willakenzie Area Plan is amended by replacing pages 71-74 of the Land <br />Gardens Subarea, with the text and maps attached as Exhibit B to this <br /> <br /> Section 4. The above findings, and the Legislative Findings set forth in Exhibit C <br />attached hereto serve as findings in support of this Ordinance, but are not adopted. <br /> <br />Ordinance ~ 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
