Most medium size police departments conduct this function internally while many of <br />larger department have independent citizen oversight boards. The challenge will be to find those <br />candidates who have had either internal investigation experience- or experience in managing this function. <br />These candidates must have an impeccable background, beyond question to have the need credibility to <br />be effective in this role.
