ORDINANCE NO. __________ AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE 1999 STREET CLASSIFICATION MAP TO ADD A NEWLY CONSTRUCTED SECTION OF HILYARD STREET FROM EAST BROADWAY TO MILL STREET WHICH IS DESIGNATED AS A MINOR ARTERIAL. The City Council of the City of Eugene finds that: A. In Eugene, as in other cities, a large portion of the public right-of-way is devoted to transportation facilities such as streets, sidewalks, bikeways, and access ways used by automobiles, trucks, transit vehicles, bicycles, and pedestrians. B. On November 22, 1999, Ordinance No. 20181 adopted the November 1999 Street Classification Map. The Map depicts the classification of major streets within the Eugene Urban Growth Boundary. C. It is necessary to amend the November 1999 Street Classification Map in order to implement a portion of a Concept Plan for the courthouse district that was adopted by Ordinance No. 20258 on July 8, 2002, by adding a newly constructed section of Hilyard Street from East Broadway to Mill Street and designating it as a Minor Arterial. Now, therefore, based on the above findings, THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1 . The 1999 Street Classification Map adopted by Ordinance No. 20181 on November 22, 1999, is hereby amended to add a newly constructed section of Hilyard Street from East Broadway to Mill Street which is designated as a Minor Arterial as depicted in attached Exhibit A to this Ordinance. Section 2 . The City Recorder, at the request of, or with the concurrence of the City Attorney, may administratively correct any reference errors contained herein.
