With regard to ODOT, Mayor Torrey pointed out that it did not need to give the City permission to <br />use its road. Not only was there the issue of the dedicated lane, there was also the issue of <br />computerized signalization at State highway intersections. He emphasized the importance of the <br />second link in the system, and said the Coburg route had the most potential for success. <br />Regarding service to the Bethel area, Mayor Torrey pointed out that the Bethel School District was <br />building a new alternative high school in the northwest area, and stressed the importance of <br />addressing transit needs in that part of the community. <br /> <br /> The motion passed, 5:3; Mr. Kelly, Ms. Taylor, and Ms. Bettman voting no. <br />Mayor Torrey adjourned the meeting at 7:47 p.m. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br /> <br />James R.
