She said she did not support the ordinance as she thought the council <br />needed more time, and she agreed with Ms. Taylor about the scheduling of the public hearing. <br /> <br />Responding to a question from Mr. Pap~, Mr. Carlson said that the Springfield City Council was <br />holding a work session on similar ordinances on July 22. Mr. Carlson did not know when <br />Springfield would hold a public hearing. Mr. Pap~ preferred to move in a parallel track with <br />Springfield. <br /> <br /> The motion passed, 5:2, Ms. Taylor and Ms. Bettman voting no. <br /> <br /> Mr. Kelly, seconded by Mr. Pap~, moved to direct the City Manager to <br /> conduct a public hearing on July 22, 2002, on an ordinance concerning a <br /> business license tax on motor vehicle fuel dealers. <br /> <br />Responding to a question from Mr. Rayor, Mr. Corey said that the ordinance addressed the <br />question of what was delivered to City service stations and what was delivered to noncity service <br />stations through the records process. <br /> <br />Mr. Pap~ opposed the motion, saying that the council needed more time to consider the issue.
