I am on foot or use public transportation, so I encounter people with different perspectives that have helped shape my own. Calling folks and knocking doors and attending city council meetings, I have listened to a lot of residents and have a fairly good understanding of what people who reside in the Eugene-Springfield area need and want. Having attended 4j schools, Lane and UO, using public transportation, being a renter, having had a parent in jail, a sibling with a disability and ADHD myself, and having worked with the LGBTQ community and the unhoused, I understand some of the challenges that many of us face. I specifically want to be a member because I want to make a difference here at a local level. Despite its upsides, there's a lot of work to be done and a lot of room for improvement. I want to help contribute in helping create the progress we need to create affordable housing and addressing the unhoused crisis, I went to both LCC and U of O. I graduated LCC with an Associate's in 2011 and transferred to UO to get a BA in Art in 2015. In 2018 I took an internship with Planned Parenthood Advocates of Oregon. F Human Rights Commission Lily C. Frey Community Service / Volunteer I've periodically worked at Egan Warming Centers and Food for Lane County. I was an organizer for Burrito Brigade from 2014-2015. From 2015-2018 I volunteered on various campaigns and the DPLC. Job Experience I'm a support worker for my disabled sibling and a personal assistant. I've done design wrok for local campaigns including Jennifer Yeh, Matt Keating, Melanie Muenzer. I was on staff for the LGBTQA at the U of O as a financial coordinator. Personal Experience I served on the Burrito Brigade board in 2015. I'm the current vice chair of HD8 for the DPLC and a CD4 delegate. Prior to this, I was a PPAO intern and a precinct committee person for the Democratic Party of Lane County. Personal Interest I am interested in local and national politics, physical fitness, media and the arts, and psychology as it pertains to mental health.
