She stressed that the traffic calming was a public safety <br />strategy. <br /> <br /> Roll call vote; the amended amendment passed, 6:2; councilors Fart and Rayor voting <br /> in opposition. <br /> <br />Mr. Klein clarified that the sunset amendment moved by Councilor Fart would cease fees 36 months after the <br />fee was imposed. <br /> <br />Councilor Taylor called for language guaranteeing that water and electricity would not be shut off if people did <br />not pay the fee. <br /> <br /> Councilor Taylor, seconded by Councilor Fart, moved to amend the motion by <br /> changing Section 7.780 to note that electric and water service, in no event, shall be <br /> discontinued for nonpayment of the fee.
