Formerly known as the Portland Clean Cities
Coalition, the CWCCC encompasses Oregon and southwestern Washington. This coalition is dedicated to advancing the
following goals of the national Clean Cities Program:

· Reduce dependence on non-domestically produced transportation fuels
· Encourage the development of a public AFV network
· Reduce emissions of mobile-source air pollutants
· Educate the public on the advantages of alternative fuels and vehicles
· Encourage the purchase and use of energy-efficient AFVs

The Clean Cities Program is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). The mission of the Clean Cities
Program is to enhance our nation's energy security and air quality which is accomplished by supporting public and private
partnerships that use clean-burning alternative fuel vehicles (AFV) and alternative fueling sites. Clean Cities takes a
unique, voluntary approach to AFV development, working within coalitions of local stakeholders to help develop the AFV
industry. Participants join Clean Cities because they're motivated by the spirit of voluntary partnerships, and because
they recognize that success requires regional cooperation from a wide variety of public and private entities.

For more information on Eugene Fleet & Radio Communication Service's participation in the Columbia-Willamette Clean
Cities Coalition, contact Fleet Manager Carlos Davis at 682-4800 or by e-mail at carlos.a.davis@ci.eugene.or, us.

01/26 M 5:30pm All Council Dinner Work Session McNutt Room
01/26 M 7:30pm All Council Meeting Council Chamber
01/27 T 4:00pm JT Mayor's One-on-One Council Chamber
01/28 W Noon All Council Lunch Work Session McNutt Room

February ...................................................................................................................................................
-02/09 M 5:30pm All Council Dinner Work Session McNutt Room
02/09 M 7:30pm All Council Meeting Council Chamber
02/10 T 5:30pm All Joint Mtg. w/Lane Co., Springfield EPL - Bascom/Tykeson Room
02/11 W Noon All Council Lunch Work Session McNutt Room

02/11 W 1:30pm SM, DK,GP IGR Committee HRRS Conference Room

EUGENE CITY COUNCIL NEWSLETTER PAGE 2
March 17, 2004
