Ms. Nathanson likened the policy to the City's Sidewalk Program, which established priorities for <br />sidewalk projects using objective criteria. <br /> <br /> The motion passed, 4:2; Ms. Bettman and Ms. Taylor voting no. <br /> <br /> Ms. Taylor, seconded by Mr. Kelly, moved to approve the MPC <br /> recommendations for amendments to the May 1999 draft TransPlan as <br /> shown on the Attachment C, and as modified with the substition of the new <br /> bicycle policy for Policy 14.2. <br /> <br />Ms. Bettman preferred not to take action on the motion until the MPC considered the council's <br />actions on the three earlier motions considered that evening. She reiterated that the motions <br />represented her "bottom line." <br /> <br />Mr. Kelly supported he motion, saying that he wanted to demonstrate to the MPC the City's <br />interest in reaching compromise on the plan.
