City would also work with local and state governments to develop
comprehensive long-term transportation strategies for west Eugene that may include:
traffic flow improvements on West 11th Avenue east of Beltline; new or enhanced roadways
to improve street connectivity; increased use of alternative modes such as transit, bike
paths, and possible commuter rail. If this measure passes, 44.2 acres of wetlands west of
Beltline would be preserved.
