Resolution -- Page 2 of 2 November 25, 2019, Meeting – Item 5 <br />NOW, THEREFORE, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, a <br />Municipal Corporation of the State of Oregon, as follows: <br /> <br /> Section 1. The Eugene City Council supports Governor Brown’s May, 2018 executive <br />order on addiction as a public health crisis. <br /> <br /> Section 2. The Eugene City Council is closely monitoring the work of the Oregon <br />Alcohol and Drug Policy Commission. <br /> <br />Section 3. The Eugene City Council will continue to advocate to state and federal <br />elected leaders to develop and implement a new, comprehensive statewide addiction recovery <br />continuum-of-care, and to provide adequate funding for same. <br /> <br />Section 4. This Resolution is effective immediately upon its passage by the City <br />Council. <br /> <br /> The foregoing Resolution adopted the ____ day of __________________, 2019. <br /> <br /> <br /> ________________________ <br /> City Recorder <br />
