December 9, 2019, Meeting – Item 4 April 8, 2019, Council Ordinance on Construction Excise Tax Council adopted the ordinance enacting the Construction Excise Tax and indicating that they would fund an additional $500,000 annually for affordable housing from other City funds. September 26, 2018, Community Safety Initiative Bridge Funding Council directed the City Manager to including funding for a bridge strategy totaling $8.6 million on a supplemental budget. February 26, 2018, Railroad Quiet Zone Funding Plan Initial Railroad Quiet Zone Funding plan that included an intention to fund $350,000 from the General Fund for gaps in fencing along the route. May 24, 2017, Budget Committee Motion on Homeless Shelter Options The Budget Committee voted to allocate $1 million dollars for future shelter options. COUNCIL OPTIONS Particular requests requiring more information or discussion may be removed from the supplemental budget and delayed for action to a future supplemental budget. In certain cases, there may be a financial or legal impact to delaying budget approval. Council may also adopt amended appropriation amounts or funding sources for specific requests in the supplemental budget. CITY MANAGER’S RECOMMENDATION Approve the attached resolution adopting SB1. SUGGESTED MOTION Move to adopt a resolution adopting a Supplemental Budget; making appropriations for the City of Eugene for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2019, and ending June 30, 2020.
