ORDINANCE NO. 20299 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING HOSPITALS; AMENDING <br />SECTIONS 9.0500, 9.2i 60, 9.2i 6i, 9.2i 70, 9.2i 7i, 9.2450, <br />9.245i, 9.2682, 9.2740, 9.274i, 9.2750, 9.275i, AND 9.8030 <br />OF THE EUGENE CODE, i97i; AND ADOPTING A <br />SEVERABILITY CLAUSE. <br /> <br />THE C~TY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Section 9.0500 of the Eugene Code, 1971, is amended by amending the <br /> <br />definition of "Hospital," and adding a new definition of "Hospital Development Site" in <br /> <br />alphabetical order therein, to provide: <br /> <br />Definition~. As used in this land use code, unless the context requires otherwise, <br />the following words and phrases mean: <br /> <br />Hospital, A facility with an organized medical staff, with permanent facilitieS that <br />include at least 45 inpatient beds and with medical services, including physician <br />se~ices and continuous nursing services under the supervision of registered nurses, <br />to provide diagnosis and medical or surgical treatment primarily for but not limited to <br />acutely ill patients and accident victims, or treatment for mentally ill patients. Hospital <br />does not include a special inpatient care facility as that term is defined in ORS <br />442.015(33). <br /> <br />Hospital Development Site. A development site for a hospital, Notwithstanding the <br />definition of "development site," a hospital development site may include property <br />under common ownership bisected by a street or alley even if the land was legally <br />divided. When inclusion of property in a hospital development site would conflict with <br />a refinement plan, such property may not be part of the hospital development site. <br /> <br />Section 2, The Medical, Health and Correctional Services category of Table <br /> <br />9.2160 in Section 9~2160 of the Eugene Code, 1971, is amended to provide: <br /> <br />9.2160 <br /> <br />Commercia~ Zone Land Use and Permit R_e_ciuirements, The foliowin§ Tabie <br />9.2160 COmmercial Zone Land Uses and Permit Requirements identifies those uses <br />in Commercial Zones that are: <br />(P) Permitted, subject to zone verification. <br />(SR) Permitted, subject to an approved site review plan. <br />(C) Subject to a conditional use permit or an approved final planned unit <br /> development. <br /> <br />Ordinance- 1 <br /> <br /> <br />
