This year’s urban race course took the teams from Alton Baker Park to Petersen Barn Community Center <br />and the Spencer Butte Challenge Course and back again, as they competed in a series of creative <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />mental and physical challenges including climbing the Skinner Butte rock-climbing columns, paddling <br />across the Willamette River, acting in melodramas at the Hult Center, making recycled art team <br />mascots, and reciting poetry in front of the Library. <br /> <br />At the finish, all participants were rewarded with a barbecue in Alton Baker to celebrate each other. <br />Competitors included families, friends and co-workers, ages 11+ with a wide range of ability levels.
