<br />The Cities of Eugene and Springfield conducted extensive consultationwith keypartners, stakeholders <br />and community members in identifying Housing and Community Development needs from November <br />2019 through January 2020. The consultation process built on work that has been ongoing by <br />committees and boardsthat bring together a broad range of stakeholders. In addition to <br />consultationswith stakeholders, the needs identified reflect information gathered through web-based <br />surveys forboth service agencies and community residents, public forums tohear communitymembers, <br />and input from the Consolidated Plan AdvisoryCommittee. <br /> <br />Individuals representing government and policy makers, nonprofitorganizations, affordable <br />housingproviders, and other interested parties wereinvited toparticipate toensure thatas many <br />points of view as possiblewere heard.Overthecourse of one-on-one interviews and twelve small <br />focus groupmeetings, approximately133 public participantsand 21 citystaff provided their <br />feedback in person. <br /> <br />Advisory Body Consultations <br />The assessment engaged several committees that are actively evaluating and addressing housing, <br />homeless, fair housing, and community development needs including: <br /> <br />Lane County Poverty & Homelessness Board <br />Intergovernmental Human Services Commission <br />Intergovernmental Housing Policy Board <br />United Way of Lane County Community Investment Steering Committee <br />Eugene Affordable Housing Trust Fund Advisory Committee <br />Eugene Planning Commission <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> 2020 Consolidated Plan 2 Eugene and Springfield, OR <br /> <br /> <br />
