He said there were no <br />cases in Eugene where the bill would apply. <br /> <br />Ms. Bettman, seconded by Ms. Taylor, moved to approve the staff recommendations on the <br />bills that were not pulled and to approve the recommendations as indicated by the Council <br />Committee on Intergovernmental Relations on the bills that had been discussed. The motion <br />passed unanimously, 3:0. <br /> <br /> <br />3. Approval of Minutes <br /> <br />Ms. Bettman offered the following corrections to the April 12, 2007, IGR meeting minutes: <br /> <br />? <br /> strike the phrase “and affordable” in her motion related to HB 2095-A <br />? <br /> revise the phrase “include local projects” to “include local operations, maintenance and preservation <br />projects” in her motion related to HB 3413 <br /> <br />Ms. Bettman, seconded by Mr. Pryor, moved to accept the April 12 minutes as <br />amended. The motion passed, 3:0. <br /> <br />Ms. Bettman offered the following corrections to the April 19, 2007, IGR meeting minutes: <br /> <br />? <br /> Second paragraph under HB 3413: “She also thought voluntary island annexations should be al- <br />lowed…” <br /> <br />Ms. Bettman, seconded by Mr. Pryor, moved to accept the April 19 minutes as <br />amended. The motion passed, 3:0. <br /> <br />Ms. Piercy asked if the City had taken a position on bill related to extension of enterprise zones. Ms. <br />Wilson said she would check. <br /> <br />Ms. Piercy asked for an update on HB 3337. Ms. Wilson said she would provide that during the last agenda <br />item. <br /> <br /> <br />4. IGR Operational Document <br /> <br />Ms. Bettman pointed out that the IGR Committee make recommendations on legislative issues of interest as <br />well as those that affected the City and the document should reflect that. Committee members accepted Ms. <br />Wilson’s suggestion to remove the words “affecting Eugene” from the first sentence in Section 1. <br /> <br />Ms. Bettman suggested removing the word “endeavor” from the last sentence of the second paragraph in <br />Section 2. Ms. Piercy suggested removing the word “full” from that sentence as well. <br /> <br />Ms. Bettman determined there were no objections to her and Ms. Piercy’s suggestions. <br /> <br />Ms. Bettman offered the following changes to Section 10: <br />
