Ms. Bettman thought the public expected the council to select an option and essentially Mr. Zelenka had
proposed Option 1. She thought postponement was acceptable.

Mr. Zelenka agreed with the remarks of Mr. Pryor. He said he was open to hearing ways to improve the
proposal in the interim.

Mr. Clark said that the motion proposed by Mr. Zelenka was nothing new; it was a synthesis of the best
parts of the proposal the community had already discussed. He questioned whether the council would learn
anything new before it acted. He said that while the public expected the council to listen, it also expected it
to decide and act, and that was what he would like to see it do.

The motion to postpone action passed, 5:3; Ms. Solomon, Mr. Poling, and Mr. Clark voting
no.

The meeting adjourned at 1:20 p.m.

Respectfully submitted,

Dennis M.
