ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO.58-20-19 <br />of the <br />City Engineer <br />DELEGATION TO THE TRAFFIC ENGINEER OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />MAINTENANCE'S TRAFFIC OPERATIONS: DUTIES UNDER SECTION 5.040 <br />THROUGH 5.055 OF THE EUGENE CODE, 1971, AND DUTIES OF TRAFFIC <br />ENGINEER. <br />A. Pursuant to Administrative Order No. 5 8-20-18, the Executive Director of the Public Works <br />Department delegated to the City Engineer the authority to perform the duties and responsibilities <br />specifically defined as those of the City Manager in Sections 5.040, 5.045 and 5.050 of the Eugene City <br />Code. <br />B. Pursuant to Administrative Order No. 5 8-20-18, the Executive Director of the Public Works <br />Department delegated to the City Engineer the authority to perform the duties and responsibilities <br />specifically assigned to the Traffic Engineer by administrative orders and administrative rules of the City. <br />C. Administrative Order No. 58-20-18 authorizes the City Engineer to further delegate the <br />duties and responsibilities delegated therein to additional qualified City staff upon finding it would be more <br />efficient and in the public interest to do so. <br />D. It would be most efficient and therefore in the public interest to delegate to additional <br />qualified City staff the duties and responsibilities described in Administrative Order No. 58-20-18. <br />On the basis of these findings, I order that: <br />1. The authority to perform the duties and responsibilities specifically defined as those <br />of the City Manager in Sections 5.040, 5.045 and 5.050 of the Eugene Code, 1971, is hereby further <br />delegated to the Traffic Engineer of Public Works Maintenance's Traffic Operations Team. <br />2. The authority to exercise the duties and responsibilities specifically defined as those of the <br />Traffic Engineer, including but not limited to those duties and authorities stated in administrative orders <br />and administrative rules is hereby further delegated to the Traffic Engineer of Public Works Maintenance's <br />Traffic Operations Team. <br />3. The delegations of authority contained herein shall be construed to extend to and include <br />any person(s) "acting in capacity" (AIC) for the Traffic Engineer of Public Works Maintenance's Traffic <br />Operations Team. <br />Dated and effective this I I4-kday of August, 2020. <br />Je if Wille , <br />Ci Engineer <br />Administrative Order -- Page 1 of 1 <br />
