ORDINANCE N0. 19625 <br />AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING FEES; AMENDING SECTIONS 2.212, <br />7.595, 7.610, 8.820, 9.030, 9.035, 9.040, 9.126, 9.128, <br />9.154, 9.512, 9.516, 9.576, 9.672, 9.690, AND 9.700 OF <br />THE EUGENE CODE, 1971; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Section 2.212 of the Eugene Code, 1971, is amended to pro- <br />vide: <br />2.212 Extraterritorial Water and Sewer Service Extensions. The city <br />manager or the manager's designee is hereby authorized to receive <br />on behalf of the city requests for extraterritorial water service extensions, <br />sewer service extensions, or provision of water or sewer service to special <br />service districts. Such requests shall be accompanied by the application fee <br />established by the city manager as provided by section 2.020 of this code. <br />The city manager, or the manager's designee, shall submit such requests to <br />the Lane County Boundary Commission, together with a favorable recommendation <br />by the city only if the city manager, or the manager's designee, finds that <br />the extension of service as proposed would be consistent in all respects <br />with adopted resolutions, policies, plans and ordinances. <br />Section 2. Section 7.595 of the Eugene Code, 1971, is amended to pro- <br />vide: <br />7.595 Vacation of Im roved Ri hts-of-Wa and Unim roved Streets and <br />Alle s. - Petitioner De osit. When a petition or the vacation <br />of an improved right-o -wa.y, pub is p ace or part thereof, or unimproved <br />street or alley, including an improved easement or part thereof, is pre- <br />sented to the finance officer for filing and consideration by the council, <br />the person presenting the petition shall deposit with the finance officer <br />a fee as established by the city manager as provided by section 2.020 of <br />this code. This deposit shall be used to pay the cost of publishing and <br />posting notices of the proposed vacation and other expenses as are incurred. <br />In case the cost exceeds the amount of the deposit, an additional sum suffi- <br />cient to cover the deficiency shall be collected by the finance officer be- <br />fore the vacation is completed. <br />Section 3. Subsection (i) of Section 7.610 of the Eugene Code, 1971, <br />is amended to provide: <br />Ordinance - 1 <br />
