ORDINANCE N0. 1 ~(7~~ <br />AN ORDINANCE LEVYING ASSESSMENTS FOR <br />ALLEY PAVING AND SANITARY SEWERS BETWEEN lTH AND 8TH AVENUES FROM <br />WASHINGTON STREET TG JEFFERSON STREET; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />The City Council of the City of Eugene finds that; <br />On the 25th day of April, 1989, as authorized in the Eugene Code 7.1608} <br />the City Engineer initiated the proposed local improvement consisting of alley <br />paving and sanitary sewers between 7th and 8th Avenues from Washington Street <br />to Jefferson Street. <br />After due notice and a publ i c hearing thereon befare the hearing official , <br />and no remonstrances having been filed, on the 25th day of September, 1989, the <br />,+~City Council formed the local improvement district and autharized construction <br />r <br />of the local improvement. <br />The. actual cost of the local improvement is ascertained to be <br />$92,201.35 and the amounts to be assessed to and borne by the specially <br />benefitted property and to be borne by the City or others has been determined <br />in accordance with applicable provisions of the Eugene Code, 1911 and as set <br />forth in items 1 to 13 from Rage 1 on Exhibit A attached hereto and incor- <br />porated herein by reference. <br />The City Council has established the method of calculating local improve- <br />ment assessments in Sections 7.110 and 7.115 of the Eugene Code, 1911, <br />A notice containing the information required by Section 7.185 of the <br />Eugene Cade, 1971 has been posted on a bulletin board at City Ha11 and given by <br />certified mail to the owners of the parcels of real property subject to the <br />assessment more than ten days prior to the public hearing before the hearing <br />ORDINANCE - 2 <br />
