These buffers shall be requirements of this <br />plan amendment, to be .implemented upon site review. <br />Goal 8 -Recreational 11~eeds. ~ This Baal requires planning for recreation areas, facilities and <br />0 ortunities inappropriate proportions and in such quantity and locations as is consistent with <br />PP <br />the availability of resources. The site is located four blocks due west of Tyson Park see <br />attached ma from Mid-Springfield Refinement Plan}, well within the park's half-mile service <br />P <br />radius. The park provides the neighborhood with open space, softball, picnicking, basketball <br />facilities, and open space. The Springfield area is well-served by the willamaiane Parks and <br />Recreation District, with a complete park system, indoor pools, and athletic facilities. The <br />central Location of the site will make efficient use of these facilities in awell-served part of <br />town. _ <br />Goal 9 -Economic Development. This goal calls for diversification and improvement of the <br />econom . among other things, each community must inventory its stock of buildable <br />Y <br />commercial. and industrial lands, project futi~re need for such lands, and plan and zone adequate <br />acreage to meet the projected needs. <br />5 <br />
