FINDINGS AND RECD ~ ATIONS <br />SUBJECT: PAVING, STORM AND SANITARY SEWERS ON SHERATON DRIVE <br />FROM CHATEAU MEADOW DRIVE,1740-FEET NORTH <br />CONTRACT 9(i-16~ <br />BACKGROUND <br />This project was initiated by a petition from property owners. The properties petitioning for the <br />improvements represent approximately S6% of the assessable improvement costs to be barn by <br />the benefiting proper~.es. <br />Based on the peti~.ons, the City Engineer initiated the project, as provided for in the Eugene <br />Code 7.1605} on March 1, 1990. The property owners were notified of the pending focal <br />improvement district hearing lU days prior to the hearing. The local improvement district was <br />authorized on by the Council on June 25, 1990. The low bid was submitted b wildish <br />. y <br />Corvallis Construc~.on Co, for an amount of $154, 9U2.60. <br />PROJECT <br />The project includes ~8-foot paving, curbs, gutters, concrete sidewalks, sanitary and storm <br />sewers. <br />ASSESSMENT <br />Under City of Eugene assessment policy, the majority of the improvement costs will be assessed <br />to the abutting property owners, with the balance born by the City.
