ORDINANCE NO. ~~ Aw ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR WITHDRAWAL FROM THE JUNCTION CITY WATER CONTROL DISTRICT THAT PART OF THE DISTRICT' ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF EUGENE BY THE LANE COUNTY LOCAL GOVERNMENT BOUNDARY COMMISSION ON MAY 21, 199. The City Council of the City of Eugene by Resolution No. 4289 adopted December 2, 1991, proposed withdrawal from the Junction City Water Control District that part of the District annexed to the City an May 21,199D by Final Order No. 925 of the Lane County Local Government Boundary Commission, as hereinafter described. The Resolution set January 13, 1992, at 7:34 p.m., Pacific Time, in the Council Chambers, City Hall, in Eugene, Oregon, as the time and place for hearing ob~ectians to the withdrawal, and directed that notice of the time and place of the hearing be published once each week for two consecutive weeks prior to the hearing and be posted in four public places in the City for the same period. The Notice has been so published in the Register Guard and pasted in faur public places in the City of Eugene, Oregon. The City is willing to assume the liabilities and indebtedness previously contracted by the District proportionate to the part of the District that has been annexed to the City upon the effective date of the withdrawal. The withdrawal of the annexed territory from the District is consistent with the fundamental principles and applicable policies of the Eugene-Springfield Metropolitan Area General Plan, and other adopted City policies, and it is in the best interest of the City that the territory be withdrawn. wow, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1.
