ORDINANCE NO. I ~ ~. AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR WITHDRAWAL FROM THE RIVER ROAD WATER DISTRIC"~ RIVER ROAD PARK & RECREATION DISTRICT AND JUNCTION CITY WATER CONTROL DISTRICT THAT PART OF THE DISTRICTS A1~TNEXED TO THE CITY OF EUGENE BY THE LANE COUNTY LOCAL GOVERNMENT BOUNDARY COMNIISSION ON MAY 20, 1991. (CITY OF EUGENE/WALNUT GROVE, EC EU 91-12). The City Council of the City of Eugene by Resolution No. 4288 adopted December 2, 1991, proposed withdrawal from the River Road Water District, River Road Park & Recreation District, and Junction City Water Control District that part of the Districts annexed to the City on May 20, 1991 by Final Order No. 940 of the Lane County Local Government Boundary Commission, as hereinafter described. The Resolution set January 13, 1992, at 7:30 p.m., Pacific Time, in the Council Chambers, City Hall, in Eugene, Oregon, as the time and place far hearing objections to the withdrawals, and directed that notice of the time and place of the hearing be published once each week for two consecutive weeks prior to the hearing and be posted in four public places in the City for the same period. The Notice has been so published in the Register Guard and posted in four public places in the City of Eugene, Oregon. The City is willing to assume the liabilities and indebtedness previously contracted by the Districts proportionate to the part of the Districts that have been annexed to the City upon the effective date of the withdrawal. The withdrawal of the annexed territory from the Districts is consistent with the fundamental principles and applicable policies of the Eugene-Springfield Metropolitan Area General Plan, and other adopted City policies, and it is in the best interest of the City that the territory be withdrawn.
