ORDINANCE N0. 19821 <br />AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LOCAL IMPROVEMENTS; AMENDING <br />SECTION 1.010 OF THE EUGENE CODE, 1971; AND DECLARING <br />AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The definitions of "Local improvement" and "Public way" set <br />forth in Section 1.010 of the Eugene Code, 1911, are amended to provide: <br />1.010 Definitions. for purposes of this chapter, the following words <br />and phrases shall have the meanings ascribed to them by this sec- <br />tion; <br />local im rovement. Any project or service or part thereof <br />undertaken by the city where all or part of the costs are borne by <br />1 ocal assessments 1 evi ed against parcels of real property which <br />provi des a speci al benefit only to specific parcels or rectifies <br />a problem caused by specific parcel ~ s } . Such 1 oval improvements <br />may include, but are not 1 i mi ted to, a street, sidewalk, street <br />light, underground ut i 1 i ty, sanitary or storm sewerage facility, <br />water uti 1 i ty foci 1 i ty, off-street motor vehicle parking foci l i ty, <br />flood control foci l i ty, park, playground or neighborhood recrea- <br />tion facility. <br />e Public. way. Any street, road, alley, right-of-way, pedes- <br />tr~ an or b~ cycl a easement, or utility easement for public use <br />which is controlled by the city, county or state. <br />Section 2.
