ORDINANCE N0. 19844 <br />AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LICENSE TERMS FOR SOLID WASTE <br />COLLECTORS AND AMENDING SECTION 3.265 OF THE EUGENE <br />CODE, 1911. <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Section 3,265 of the Eugene Code, 1911, is amended to pro- <br />vide: <br />3.265 Solid Waste,. and Re,cycl ing - License Term <br />1 TThe r.. hts ~ri vi ~ e es ~ and 1 ~ce~~ <br />~ } g , p g nse granted shall be for a <br />continuing five ~5} year term providing the licensee notifies the city man- <br />ager or designee ~n wr~t~ng by June 1 of each year that the licensee elects <br />to extend the license, and subject to the provisions of subsections ~2} and <br />~3} of this section. <br />~2} In the event a licensee fails to provide notice to the city <br />manager or designee as required in subsection ~1}, within the time required, <br />or, if a licensee notifies the city manager or designee in writing by June 1 <br />of any license year that the licensee does not elect to extend the license <br />term, the remaining term for that licensee shall be for a period of four ~4} <br />years from June 30 of that year. <br />~3} The city manager or designee may elect to not extend a <br />license, or all ]icenses, by notice in writing given to a licensee or all <br />licensees by April 1. In such event, the license or licenses shall have a <br />flat license term of five ~5} years remaining from the following July 1. <br />Section 2.
