ORDINANCE N0.19$68 <br />AN aRDINANCE ING ExffiBIT "B" TG <br />ORDINANCE N4.19795 BY ADUPTING SUPPLEMENTAL <br />FINDINGS SUPPGRTING THAT AMENDMENT TG THE <br />EUGENE-SPRINGFIELD METRQPGLITAN AREA <br />GENERAL PLAN. <br />The City Council of the City of Eugene finds that; <br />A. Un September 9, 1991, the City Council of the City of Eugene adopted <br />Grdinance No. 19795 to amend the Eugene-Springfield Metropolitan Area General Plan <br />by redesignating property identibed as Assessor's Map 17-02.31, tax lots 300 and 700, from <br />light-medium and heavy industrial to a combination of medium density residential, light- <br />medium industrial and commercial land uses, <br />B. The City of Springl~eld and Lane County adapted the same amendments <br />pursuant to Metra Plan amendment procedures cited in the Metro Plan and in Chapter <br />9 of the Eugene Code, 1971. <br />C. The action of the City of Eugene was appealed to the aregon Land Use <br />Board of Appeals, which remanded the decision for additional findings to satisfy the <br />requirements of Statewide Planning Goal 11, Public Facilities and Services, concerning <br />impacts on school facilities. <br />D. The City of Springbeld and Lane County are taking action to add these <br />additional findings to their original actions adapting the Metro Plan amendment. <br />E. The Eugene City Council conducted a ,public hearing an the additional <br />landings on June 22, 1992 and is now ready to tape action. <br />F. Evidence exists within the record indicating the proposal meets the <br />requirements of Chapter 9 of the Eugene Code, 1971 and the requirements of applicable <br />state and local law. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, <br />THE CITY DF EUGENE DGES ORDAIN AS FGLLGWS; <br />Section 1. The Metro Plan diagram land use designations enacted by Ordinance <br />No. 19795 on September 9, 1991 z~emain in full force and e~£ect and are unchanged by this <br />Grdinance - 1 <br />
