ORDINANCE NO. l J~rS'~'~p AN ORDINANCE AMENDING 1~ EUGENE-SPRINGFIELD METROPOLITAN AKEA GENEI~AI~ PLAN (METRO PLAN) DIAGKAM The City Council of the City of Eugene finds as follows: 1. The City of Springfield has initiated amendments to the Eugene- Springfield Metropolitan Area General Plan (Metro Plan) pertaining to the plan designation for 6 areas within the Gateway planning area. 2, The Springfield, Eugene, and Lane County Planning Commissions held public hearings on the Gateway Refinement Plan and associated Metro Plan Diagram amendment proposals on Uctvber 2, 1991. Adoption of these proposed amendments has been recommended by the Eugene, Springfield, and Lane County Planning Commissions. Notice of the public hearings before the Planning Commission and City Council has been given as required by Eugene Code, 1971, Section 9.134. 3. The Springfield and Eugene City Council s and the Lane County Board of Commissioners held a public hearing on January 29,1992 on the proposed Gateway Refinement Plan and associated Metro Plan Diagram amendment proposals. Gn March 2, 1992, the Springfield City Council adopted Ordinance Nv. 5611 adopting the proposed Plan Diagram amendments. Cn April 15,1992, the Lane County Board of Commissioners adopted Grdinance No. PA1913 adopting the proposed Plan Diagram amendments. 4. The proposed amendments to the Metro Plan diagram are necessary to implement the Gateway Refinement Plan Diagram. 5. The proposed plan amendments are consistent with applicable Statewide Planning Goals, and meet other criteria for approval of Metro Plan amendments as required by Section 9.128 of the Eugene Code as shown in the Endings attached as Exhibit A and incorporated herein by reference. The findings set forth above and. incorporated herein by reference and the findings contained in Exhibit A attached hereto are adopted. Section 2. The Plan Diagram of the Eugene-Springfield Metropolitan Area General Plan Metro Plan} is hereby amended to incorporate the plan designations identified in Exhibit B, which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
