ORDINANCE NO. 1 ~ ~ ~~ <br />AN QRDINANCE PRQVIDING FQR ~VITHDRA~VAL GF TERRITQRIES <br />~HQUSING AUTHQRITY QF LANE CQUN'1'Y, EC EU 93-14; <br />RQMANf BAKER, EC EU 93-19; WILSaN, EC EU 93-24~ FROM THE <br />RIVER RUAD WATER DISTRICT AND RIVER RUAD PARK AND <br />RECREATIQN DISTRICT; AND PRQPQSED WITHDRAWAL QF <br />TERRITQRY ~CLEMENSJMARQUESS PRQPERTIES, LTD., C EU 9Z-54 <br />AND WALKER, C EU 93-~1} FRQM THE SANTA CLA,RA WATER <br />DISTRIC"~ <br />The City Council of the City of Eugene by Resolution No. 4373 adopted May 24, <br />1993, proposed: <br />~a~ Withdrawal from the River Road Water District and River Road Parks <br />& Recreation District the parts of the Districts annexed to the City on March 4,1993 <br />by Notice dated March 18, 1993 of the Lane County Local Government Boundary <br />Commission; on March 23,1993 by Notice dated March 26,1993 of the Lane County <br />Local Government Boundary Commission; and on April 5, 1993 by Notice dated <br />April 9,1993 of the Lane County Local Government Boundary Commission; <br />fib} Withdrawal from the Santa Clara Water District the parts of the <br />District annexed to the City on March 22,1993 by Final Grder No. 96~ of the Lane <br />County Local Government Boundary Commission dated February 4, 1993; and on <br />March 24, 1993 by Final Order No. 961 of the Lane County Local Government <br />Boundary Commission dated February 4,1993, all as hereinafter more particularly <br />described. <br />The Resolution set June 14, 1993, at 7:34 P.M., Pacific Time, in the Council <br />Chambers, City Hall, in Eugene, aregon, as the time and place far hearing objections to the <br />withdrawals, and directed that notice of the time and place of the hearing be published once <br />each week for two consecutive weeks prior to the hearing and be posted in four public <br />places in the City far the same period. <br />The Notice has been so published in the Register Guard and pasted in four public <br />places in the City of Eugene, Gregon. <br />The City is willing to assume the liabilities and indebtedness previously contracted b <br />. .Y <br />the Districts proportionate to the parts of the Districts that have been annexed to the City <br />upon the effective date of the withdrawals. <br />The withdrawals of the annexed territories tom the Districts is consistent with the <br />fundamental principles and applicable policies of the Eugene-Springl~eld Metro olitan Area <br />P <br />General Plan, and other adopted City policies, and it is in the best interest of the City that <br />Ordinance -1 <br />
