ORDINANCE NO. 1 ~ ~ ~~ AN QRDINANCE PRQVIDING FQR ~VITHDRA~VAL GF TERRITQRIES ~HQUSING AUTHQRITY QF LANE CQUN'1'Y, EC EU 93-14; RQMANf BAKER, EC EU 93-19; WILSaN, EC EU 93-24~ FROM THE RIVER RUAD WATER DISTRICT AND RIVER RUAD PARK AND RECREATIQN DISTRICT; AND PRQPQSED WITHDRAWAL QF TERRITQRY ~CLEMENSJMARQUESS PRQPERTIES, LTD., C EU 9Z-54 AND WALKER, C EU 93-~1} FRQM THE SANTA CLA,RA WATER DISTRIC"~ The City Council of the City of Eugene by Resolution No. 4373 adopted May 24, 1993, proposed: ~a~ Withdrawal from the River Road Water District and River Road Parks & Recreation District the parts of the Districts annexed to the City on March 4,1993 by Notice dated March 18, 1993 of the Lane County Local Government Boundary Commission; on March 23,1993 by Notice dated March 26,1993 of the Lane County Local Government Boundary Commission; and on April 5, 1993 by Notice dated April 9,1993 of the Lane County Local Government Boundary Commission; fib} Withdrawal from the Santa Clara Water District the parts of the District annexed to the City on March 22,1993 by Final Grder No. 96~ of the Lane County Local Government Boundary Commission dated February 4, 1993; and on March 24, 1993 by Final Order No. 961 of the Lane County Local Government Boundary Commission dated February 4,1993, all as hereinafter more particularly described. The Resolution set June 14, 1993, at 7:34 P.M., Pacific Time, in the Council Chambers, City Hall, in Eugene, aregon, as the time and place far hearing objections to the withdrawals, and directed that notice of the time and place of the hearing be published once each week for two consecutive weeks prior to the hearing and be posted in four public places in the City far the same period. The Notice has been so published in the Register Guard and pasted in four public places in the City of Eugene, Gregon. The City is willing to assume the liabilities and indebtedness previously contracted b . .Y the Districts proportionate to the parts of the Districts that have been annexed to the City upon the effective date of the withdrawals. The withdrawals of the annexed territories tom the Districts is consistent with the fundamental principles and applicable policies of the Eugene-Springl~eld Metro olitan Area P General Plan, and other adopted City policies, and it is in the best interest of the City that Ordinance -1
