Section 3, That a total levy of $41,708,06 be made against all taxable property within the City of Eugene in general, for the purpose of deriving funds necessary to carry on the different programs and to meet the expenses of the government of the City of Eugene for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1993, and ending June 30, 1994; and to create and provide sinking funds and interest funds for the various outstanding bonds and obligations of the City. Section 4. That the City Recorder is hereby directed to certify the levies as herein made and set forth to the County Clerk and County Assessor of Lane County, Oregon, and the Department of Revenue in Salem, Dregon, and shall file with them a copy of the budget as finally adapted. Section 5. That the list of fund titles and numbers set forth in Attached Ehibit "A" is hereby adopted. Section 6. That the annual levy of taxes for the City of Eugene far the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1993, and ending June 30, 1994, is required by law to be made by the City Council and certified to the County officers of Lane County, Oregon, before the time far completing the tax rolls, so that the tax rolls may be extended and the taxes therein collected at the time that other taxes are collected. That the levy must be made and completed and in the hands of the County Officers Immediately, and it is necessary far the peace, health, and safety of the City of Eugene that the levy be placed in the hands of the County Assessor without delay. Therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force immediately upon and after its passage by the City Council and approval by the mayor.
