oRDINANCE No.19930 <br />AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING THE nVIM4BILIZATION <br />of VEHICLES; AMENDING SECTIGN 5.231 OF THE <br />EUGENE CODE, 1971; AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br />THE CITY of EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FoLLOwS: <br />Section 1. Subsection ~2} of Section 5.231 of the Eugene Code, 1971, is amended to <br />provide: <br />5.231 Proh1`bited Parkin -Immobilization of Vehicles Involved. <br />t2) No operator of a vehicle shall cause, and no owner of a vehicle may <br />allow the vehicle to be on: <br />(a) A public thoroughfare in the city, <br />fib) City property, <br />~c) Property occupied by the city, or <br />~d) Property on which the city enforces parking regulations under <br />contract, <br />if the vehicle has been involved in one or more parking violations under this code for which <br />outstanding bail or a bne or bees or both total $30 or more. <br />Section 2. The City Recorder, at the request o~ or with the concurrence of the City <br />Attorney, may admi~ustratively correct any reference errors contained herein or in other <br />provisions of the Eugene Code, 1971 to the provision amended herein. <br />Section 3, That the matters contained herein concern the public safety, and in order <br />to ensure the uniform application of this provision now that bail for parking citations has <br />been increased, an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this ordinance shall become <br />effective immediately upon its passage by the City Council and approval by the Mayor, <br />retention by the Mayor for more than ten days, or readoption over a Mayoral veto by two <br />ordinance -1 <br />
