Y <br />FINDINGS GF HEARINGS OFFICIAL <br />,- <br />~. <br />,, <br />~~~ ~~ Lane Transit District ~MD 95-8~ <br />Tax Lats 2000, 2100, 2200, 2300, 2400, and 2500 and a portion of <br />1900--Assessor's Map 17~-03~-31-1 3 <br />Located in the City black bounded by 10th and l~.th Avenues and <br />Willamette and Olive Streets. <br />Requests major modification to the Hearings Of f icial ~ s approval. of <br />a Conditional Use Permit allowing a bus terminal in the C--3 Major <br />Commercial District. The modification involves adding an optional , <br />alternative mitigation measure to the existing mitigation plan <br />concerning the loss of surface parking. The new alternative would <br />involve a parking struc±ure at the coLz~er of i0 to and Feari. <br />Applicant: Lane Transit District <br />The following findings of fact and conclusions of law are based <br />upon testimony presented at the public hearing of August 23, 1995 <br />and materials and documents submitted and made a part of the <br />Planning Department file through the close of the record, <br />DECISION DATE: September 1, 1995 <br />'- APPEAL DEADLINE: September ll, 1995 <br />.:.~ <br />GoNCLUSION: The decision of July 14, 1994 as amended by the <br />findings of July 25, 1994 granting approval of a conditional use <br />permit for the LTD proposed transit station is amended with regard <br />to Section "E Parking" of those findings. Subparagraphs 1, 2 and <br />3 of that Section are modified to read as follows: <br />1. The conditional use permit for the proposed transit <br />station shall be conditioned upon <br />~ a ~ the contribution. o f $1.8 mill. ion by LTD for <br />Overpack expansion as more particularly <br />described and set forth in the letter dated <br />April 12, 1994, to Jerry Moskus, President, <br />Lane Community College, from Abe Farkas, <br />Planning & Development Director, City of Eugene <br />copy attached as Exhibit "B"~; or <br />~b~ The contribution of $l.8 million by LTD for a <br />new City--awned parking structure at the <br />southwest corner of 10th Avenue and Pearl <br />Street, providing approximately 240 new public <br />structured parking spaces and approximately 30 <br />1 -- FINDINGS GF HEARINGS OFFICIAL ~MD 95-~8~ <br />C:1JWSIFI~II}I~GS~MD 95-8 (JUS:dap} <br />
