ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 58-22-21 of the City Manager AUTHORIZING THE EUGENE PARKS DIVISION MANAGER TO SIGN AND SUBMIT AN APPLICATION FOR AN OREGON PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT GRANT FOR SANTA CLARA COMMUNITY PARK. The City Manager of the City of Eugene finds that: A. The Oregon Parks and Recreation Department is accepting applications for the Local Government Grant Program. B. The City of Eugene desires to participate in this grant program to the greatest extent possible as a means of providing needed community park development work in the Santa Clara Neighborhood of Eugene. C. The City has identified a high priority need to develop the land held for Santa Clara Community Park with accessible paths, a bridge, and pedestrian nature walking trails. D. The grant-funded project would include construction of a 0.3 mile paved, lighted shared use path extension, one small bridge, and a 0.8 mile pedestrian nature walking loop. E. The City of Eugene has available local matching funds to fulfill its share of obligation related to this grant application should the grant funds be awarded. F. The City of Eugene will provide adequate funding for on-going operations and maintenance of Santa Clara Community Park, should the grant funds be awarded. On the basis of these findings, I order that: Section 1. This administrative order is a demonstration that the City of Eugene officially supports the Parks Division Manager’s submittal of a grant application to the Oregon Park and Recreation Department for an accessible path, bridge and nature walking trails at Santa Clara Community Park. Section 2. This Order shall be effective immediately upon my signing it.
