Eugene Natural Resources

From: lesliedosreis@comcast.net
Sent: Friday, September 30,20058:44 PM
To: Eugene Natural Resources
Subject: Eugene Goal 5 Natural Resource Project

I wish these comments to become a part of the official record before the Eugene City Council before the
October 3, 2005 deadline. .
My home is at 3348 Bardell Avenue, Eugene 97401
Tax lot# 17033321 00119.
My backyard is on Oldham Slough, a branch ofthe Canoe Way. My land includes the bottom of the Slough
and the far bank which is a strip of land that separates the Slough from the Canoe Way proper. 7 tax lots
including mine are this slough and have a restrictive covenant(8922131) that includes the following restriction
regarding the far bank(the southwest shore): "The parties agree that they will not clear, plant, cut trim,
construct or otherwise alter the southwesst far shore of Oldham Slough or otherwise alter its natural appearance
and foliage." If Goal 5 also expects me to replace gardens and shrubs and birch trees on the NEAR shore of the
Slough as well, then I protest. The application of Goal 5 rules must be reasonable and sensitive to homes and
yards already established for years.

Yours truly,
Page and Leslie Dos Reis

10/3/2005
