I understand that the Land Use Code and Zoning Map Amendments will be considered on November 14th and I am writing to tell you that I am affected by these changes and am in agreement with the amendments. We have lived here for 26 years and were part of the City's plan to implant the neighborhood with owner-occupied dwellings (indeed, my mortgage is with the City). I guess you could say we were the first example of infill but our house is a modest bungalow that was moved to make way for Monroe Park additions. We love the neighborhood and hope to prevent any more large scale multi-family units being built next to our yards (many at overwhelming sizes). Much of the "infill" has occurred in my block and developers are often doing "infilling" without any regard for the neighborhood's well-established character. It seems to me that the Chambers street corridor itself might be looked at for infill and commercial nodal development. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate your consideration of CAFN's proposal. The standards set for discussion are the product of extensive public participation of which I have been a part. Please adopt them. I believe both the Planning Commission and the neighbors are in agreement on this issue. I thank you for letting the neighbors testify and for listening to our concerns.
