Once established populations are <br /> extremely difficult to control. <br />Ranunculus creepmg This species is allelopathic. It forms large 1 <br />repens buttercup monocultures, especially in moist areas. It is common <br /> in many of our parks including Tugman Park. <br />Robinia black locust Widely escaped east of Cascades, beginning to 1,3 <br />pseudoacacia naturalize on West Side (Portland area, Benton <br /> County, Lane County.) This species can form <br /> woodland monocultures. <br />Rorippa watercress Chokes out small waterways on the valley floor. 1,3 <br />nasturtium- <br />aquaticum <br />Rosa eglanteria sweet-briar This species easily invades prairie areas and is 1,3 <br /> common throughout town especially in West Eugene. <br />Rosa multiflora multiflowered This species, similar to R. eglantaria, is a common 1 <br /> rose problem in west Eugene wetlands and Fern Ridge <br /> Wildlife Area. <br />Rubus Himalaya or One of the most widespread exotic species in the 1,3,4 <br />armeniacus Armenian Pacific Northwest. Populations are well established in <br />(discolor) blackberry all plant communities throughout Eugene. <br />Rubus evergreen Not as invasive as R. armeniacus, but still forms 1, 3 <br />laciniatus blackberry dense clumps. <br />Sorb us European Appearing in west Eugene wetlands and uplands. 1,3 <br />aucuparia mountain-ash Birds spread seed. <br />Ulex europeaus gorse A massive problem on the OR coast, now beginning 1 <br /> to appear in the Willamette Valley. Extremely <br /> difficult to remove. <br />Vinca major periwinkle; Mostly near old homesites -- they appear to spread 1 <br /> vmca vegetatively only.
