2 <br />Subdivision I - POLICIES AND GUIDELINES <br />SECTION A - DEFINITIONS <br /> <br />As used in these Rules and Standards, the following words and terms have the meanings indicated below, <br />unless the context clearly requires otherwise: <br /> <br />a. Abandoned Aircraft and Abandoned Vehicle is any Aircraft or vehicle left unattended <br />and stationary on the Airport property in an inoperable condition or under such <br />circumstances that evidence an intention by the owner or operator to voluntarily surrender, <br />relinquish, or disclaim the Aircraft or vehicle. <br /> <br />b. Aeronautical Activity is any activity which involves, makes possible, or is required for the <br />operation of Aircraft, or which contributes to or is required for the safety of such operations. <br /> <br />c. Agreement means a written, legally enforceable contract between the City and any Person <br />or Persons concerning access to and use of the Airport and includes, without limitation, <br />Leases, Permits, and Licenses. <br /> <br />d. Air Charter and Air Taxi means the Commercial Aeronautical Activity of providing air <br />transportation of persons or property for hire on a charter basis or as an air taxi operator <br />as defined and regulated by the FAA. <br /> <br />e. Aircraft means any machine or contrivance now known or hereafter designated, invented, <br />or used for navigation or flight in the air. <br /> <br />f. Aircraft Design Group A grouping of Aircraft based upon wingspan. The groups are as <br />follows: <br /> <br />1) Group I: Up to but not including 49 feet. <br /> <br />2) Group II: 49 feet up to but not including 79 feet <br /> <br />3) Group III: 79 feet up to but not including 118 feet <br /> <br />4) Group IV: 118 feet up to but not including 171 feet <br /> <br />5) Group V: 171 feet up to but not including 214 feet <br /> <br />6) Group VI: 214 feet up to but not including 262 feet <br /> <br />g. Aircraft Management means the Commercial Aeronautical Activity of providing Aircraft <br />flight dispatch, flight crews, or aircraft maintenance coordination on behalf of an Aircraft <br />Operator. <br /> <br />h. Aircraft Operator means any person, firm, corporation, company, association, <br />governmental body, or organization owning, leasing, controlling, or operating any Aircraft, <br />or causing the operation thereof. <br /> <br />i. Aircraft Rental means the Commercial Aeronautical Activity of renting or leasing Aircraft <br />to the public for compensation. <br /> <br />j. Aircraft Restoration and Refurbishing means the Commercial Aeronautical Activity of <br />restoring, refurbishing, or repainting aircraft structures, propellers, accessories, interiors, <br />exteriors, and components, after which the Aircraft will continue to operate. This category <br />of activity excludes the demolition or salvage of Aircraft, after which Aircraft will not be air <br />worthy or continue to operate.
