As indicated on the attached map Attachment <br />A}, the locations of the proposed alley and right-of-way vacations are: <br />1. The southern portion of the north-south alley located between Lincoln and Charnelton <br />Streets that extends south from the east-west alley intersection located between 8th <br />Avenue and Broadway. <br />~. The northern portion of the north-south alley located between Lincoln and Charnelton <br />Streets that extends north from the east west alley intersection located between 10th <br />Avenue and Broadway. <br />3. A three-foot streetright-of way along the north and south sides of Broadway between <br />Lincoln and Charnelton Streets. <br />The purpose of the requested alley and right-of-way vacations is to implement the Eugene City <br />Council-approved west End development project. This proposed project includes a proposed <br />700+ stall underground parking garage,150+housing units, and approximately 25,000+ square <br />feet of commercial development. See Attachment B--A computer simulation of the design <br />concept.} <br />The Cifiy of Eugene is the petitioner for the requested vacations. As provided in GRS 271.130, <br />the City of Eugene may make such vacations without a petition or consent of abutting and <br />affected property owners. Therefore, this vacation request does not have attached consents. <br />
