Eric Middleton of Alliance Resource <br />Consulting will present information about candidates collected during the recruitment process and give <br />his professional recommendations regarding the top candidates. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br />The position of Police Auditor has been vacant since August 22, 2008. The application deadline for this <br />recruitment was December 8, 2008. The Executive Recruiter from Alliance Resource Consulting, Eric <br />Middleton, will be meeting with the council in this work session to present the candidate pool and get <br />the council’s direction on the next steps, including feedback and direction from the council regarding <br />which candidates they would like to move forward in the interview process. <br /> <br /> <br />RELATED CITY POLICIES <br />This item is not directly related to a City policy. However, the hiring of a Police Auditor relates to the <br />council values of a “Safe Community” and “Effective, Accountable Municipal Government.” <br /> <br /> <br />COUNCIL OPTIONS <br />The council may: <br /> <br />·Direct Mr. Middleton and Alliance Resource Consulting to arrange for candidates they select to <br />move forward to the interview process for this position and include possible interview dates for this <br />process. <br /> <br />·Direct Mr. Middleton and Alliance Resource Consulting to reopen the recruitment. <br /> <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER’S RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br /> <br />SUGGESTED MOTION <br /> <br />None. <br /> Z:\CMO\2009 Council Agendas\M090114\S090114A.doc <br />
