RESOLUTION NO. 4622

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ACQUISITION BY THE
URBAN RENEWAL AGENCY OF THE CITY OF EUGENE
OF THE "AGRIP AC" SITE (ASSESSOR'S MAP NO. 17-03-32-
22-00700.

The City Council of the City of Eugene finds that:

A. The Riverfront Research Park Urban Renewal Plan (the "Plan") was adopted by

Ordinance No. 19352 passed by the City Council and approved by the Mayor on September 11,

1985.

B. The Urban Renewal Agency of the City of Eugene (the "Agency") has by Resolution

declared its intent to acquire the property known as the "Agripac" site (TL 17-03-32-22-00700), as

more particularly depicted on the attached Exhibit A.

C. It is anticipated that a variety of uses will occur on the Agripac site, including those

related to public purposes and private development.

D. Under Section 600-C-3 of the Plan, assembling land for private development where

the developer is a person or group other than the owner of record is not considered as a substantial

amendment to the Plan. Each such development is, however, required to be processed on a case-by-

case basis, and the acquisition cannot be undertaken until authorized by the Eugene City Council.

E. The Council has reviewed the Agency's Resolution, and finds that the acquisition and

proposed uses ofthe Agripac site to be in the public interest.

Resolution - 1
