January 21, 1997; ~c} w`ithdrawal from the Glenwood water District and the willamalane Park and Recreation District the parr of the District annexed to the City on Goober 7,1996 by Notice of the Lane County Local Government Boundary Commission dated October 15, 1996; and on January 21, 1997 by Final Order No. 1091 of the Lane County Local Government Boundary Commission dated January 21, 1997; and ~d} withdrawal from the willamalane Park and Recreation District the part of the District annexed to the City on September 30, 1996 by Notice of the Lane County Local Government Boundary Commission dated October 9,1996, all as hereinafter more particularly described. The Resolution set February 24, 1997, at 7:34 P.M., Pacific Time, in the Council Chambers, City Hall, in Eugene, Oregon, as the time and place for hearing objections to the withdrawals, and directed that notice of the time and place of the hearing be published once each week for two consecutive weeks prior to the hearing and be posted ~in four public places in the City for the same period. The Notice has been so published in the Register Guard and posted in four public places in the City of Eugene, Oregon. The City is willing to assume the liabilities and indebtedness previously contracted by the Districts proportionate to the parts of the Districts that have been annexed to the City upon the effective date of the withdrawals. The withdrawals of the annexed territories from the Districts is consistent with the fundamental principles and applicable policies of the Eugene-Springfield Metropolitan Area General Plan, and other adopted City policies, and it is in the best interest of the City that the territories be withdrawn.
