She said the City should start with ~what we have" and try to develop that <br />first in order to better the economy. <br /> <br />Councilor Meisner concurred with his colleagues with respect to the housing standards. He noted that in <br />discussing standards and enforceability it was important to note that the council could only craft an <br />ordinance that would cover the city of Eugene. He asserted that ~vast numbers" of LCC and UO students <br />do not live within the City limits. <br /> <br />Mayor Torrey thanked the people for coming and testifying. She thanked <br />staff for answering her questions on Item D. Mayor Torrey deemed Ms. Bettman's corrections, without <br />objection, approved. <br /> <br />Councilor Kelly stated that he had previously submitted corrections to the minutes via email.
