<br />Schoening replied that the chair of the stakeholder group could present the results along with a lead staff <br />person at a work session. <br /> <br />Mr. Hoobyar suggested that the group talk about the nuances of how the material would be submitted at a <br />later point in the process. <br /> <br />In response to a question from Mr. Howard, Ms. Cahill stated that the date had been set for October 26 on <br />the tentative council agenda, but she stated that this date could be moved depending on how quickly the <br />stakeholders group come up with a concept to forward to counciL <br /> <br />Mr. Hoobyar reviewed the agenda. No changes were made. He hoped to reach agreement by the end of <br />the first meeting on what problems should be addressed. <br /> <br />2. Meeting Agreements <br /> <br />Mr. Hoobyar highlighted the meeting agreements, as follows: <br />. Honor the agenda/change only by agreement; <br />. Listen carefully to speakers; <br />. Focus on the issue, not the personalities; <br />. Be recognized before speaking; <br />. Monitor speaking time so all group members have a chance to sreak; <br />. Avoid side conversations. <br /> <br />Mr. Hoobyar decided that the clock on the back wall would be the official time. He said an issue that <br />merited a lot of conversation would be noted on a flip chart for more in-depth consideration at one of the <br />next meetings. He asked that group members turn off cell phones and pagers. <br /> <br />Regarding public comment, Mr. Hoobyar was uncertain whether setting aside some time in the agenda for <br />it was in the best interest of the group. He noted that on the one hand it did provide a forum for people but <br />it impacted the time for the rest of the agenda. He reiterated that members of the community should feel <br />free to contact the stakeholders group. <br /> <br />Ms. Vaughn asked if community members had access to the contact sheet so that they could share input <br />with group members. Ms. Cahill replied that the informational postcard had the names of group members <br />but no contact information. <br /> <br />Me Howard understood that staff would return to the community meetings and report on what had <br />transpired. He thought this would be the best time for public input, though he would not object to sharing <br />his contact information. <br /> <br />Mr. Hoobyar decided to pass around a sign-up sheet for stakeholder members to provide their preferred <br />contact information.
