ORDINANCE NO. / ~ ~ ~ ~O <br />AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR WITHDRAWAL FROM <br />THE SANTA CLARA WATER DISTRICT, THAT PART <br />OF THE DISTRICT ANNEXED T4 THE CITY OF <br />EUGENE BY THE LANE COUNTY LOCAL GOVERNMENT <br />BOUNDARY COMMISSION ON JANUARY 23, 1990 <br />SMITH, EC EU $9-30y. <br />The City Council of the City of Eugene by Resolution <br />No. 4159 adopted January 22, 1990, proposed withdrawal from <br />the Santa Clara Water District that part of the District <br />annexed to the City on January 23, 1990 by the Lane County <br />Local Government Boundary Commission, as hereinafter <br />described. <br />The Resolution set February 12, 1990, at 7:30 p.m., <br />Pacific Time, in the Council Chambers, City Hall, in Eugene, <br />Oregon, as the time and place for hearing objections to the <br />withdrawal, and directed that notice of the time and place of <br />the hearing be published once each week for two consecutive <br />weeks prior to the hearing and be posted in four public places <br />in the City for the same period. <br />The Notice has been so published in the Register Guard <br />and posted in four public places in the City of Eugene, <br />Oregon. <br />The City is willing tv assume the liabilities and <br />indebtednesses previously contracted by the District <br />proportionate to the part of the District that has been <br />annexed to the City upon the effective date of the withdrawal. <br />The withdrawal of the annexed territory from the <br />District is consistent with the fundamental principles and <br />Ordinance - 1 <br />
