~'kN~R~T R FINDINGS AND RECOMMENDATIGNS SUBJECT: TRAFFIC SIGNAL AT THE INTERSECTION OF DELTA HIGHWAY AT GREENACRES ROAD (CONTRACT #88-09) BACI~GRDUND This project was petitioned for by a majority of the property owners abutting the project named above. Lane County has agreed to pay for $So,Oaa of the project cost and City of Eugene will be assessed for remaining costs. Based on the petitions, the City Engineer initiated the project, as prodded for in the Eugene Code 7.1Go~8}, on February 1 b, 1988. Property owners were notified of the pending assessment hearing 1a days prior ~ to the hearing. The project was advertised on May 24,1985 and bids were opened June 7,1988. the law bid was submitted by Hamilton Electric, Inc., for an amount of $G2,Z88.~~. After review staff recommended acceptance of the low bid. In addition to the work done by the contractor, the City provided signal poles and hardware costing $Z~,197 as a portion of its share of the project costs. ASSESSMENT Under City of Eugene assessment policy, mast of the cost is assessed to the abutting property owners.
