Section 3. The necessary poll books, ballot boxes, tally <br />sheets and other such supplies for each precinct as are necessary <br />for the carrying on of the election shall be f urnished by th e <br />County Clerk for Lane County, and the supplies shall be delivered <br />to the Election Board. <br />Section 4. The City Council hereby orders that the election <br />shall be held concurrently with the special election on March <br />26, 1985 and hereby designates as the polling places for the <br />election in the City of Eugene the polling places established <br />and designated for the special election, and the City Council <br />does hereby appoint the Clerks appointed to serve at that special <br />election to serve in each of the polling places f ar the C i ty <br />election. <br />Section 5. The polls shall be open in each of the voting <br />precincts at 8:40 o'clock a.m,, Pacific Standard Time, and shall <br />be kept open until 5:00 0' clack p.m. , Pacific Standard Time, <br />on election day. <br />Section 6. The Clerk acting as chairperson of the Election <br />Board in the special election shall be chairperson of the same <br />Board of which he or she is a member in the City election, and <br />the ballots shall be counted and tabulated and the results certified <br />as provided by law. <br />Section 7. The City Recorder is directed to give not less <br />than ten days notice of the election by publication of one notice <br />thereof in the Eugene Register Guard, a newspaper published <br />in the City and of general circulation therein.
