That yard shall be <br />landscaped and maintained as prescribed in section 9.544. <br />Section 27. Subsections ~1}~a} and ~c} of Section 9,542 of the Eugene <br />Code, 1911, are hereby amended to read and provide: <br />9.542 Interior Yards. <br />~1} Residential: <br />~a} All lots or development sites in the AG, RA, R-1, R-2, <br />R-3, and R-4 districts shall have interior yards of not less than <br />1C feet between the buildings, without regard as to the location <br />of the property line, or no interior yards required if the build- <br />ings abut or have a common wall, except where a utility easement <br />is recorded adjacent to an interior lot line, in which event there <br />shall be an interior yard na less than the width of the easement. <br />~c} Alley access parcels shall be subject to the provisions <br />of this section for al 1 yards, i ncl udi ng the yard adjacent to the <br />property line separating the alley access parcel from the original <br />parent parcel. <br />Section 28. Subparagraphs fie} and ~f} of Section 9.544 of the Eugene <br />Code, 1971, are hereby amended to read and provide: <br />9.544 Yard Exce Lions and Permitted Intrusions Into Re wired Yards. <br />The following intrusions may project into required yards to the <br />extent and under the conditions and limitations indicated: <br />fie} Parks' ng. an,d, driveways : ~Al so see sections 9.580 to 9.598. } <br />1. In any district, driveways or accessways providing <br />ingress and egress to or from private parking areas or garages, <br />public parking areas or garages and parking spaces shall be <br />permitted, together with any appropriate traffic control devices <br />in any required yard. <br />2. In any residential district, public or private park- <br />ing areas and parking spaces shall not be permitted in any <br />required yard except as provided herein: <br />a. Parking spaces shall be permitted in required <br />front yard setbacks i n conjunction with si ngl e family or <br />two family dwellings provided the parking spaces are <br />located on driveways. <br />b. Far lots and parcels with at least 5Q feet of <br />frontage, driveways shall cover a maximum of one-half of <br />the area in the required front yard setback. All por- <br />ti ons of required front yard setbacks not otherwise <br />covered by legal driveways shall be landscaped and main- <br />ta i n ed~. <br />c.
