ORDINANCE NO. 19359 <br />AN ORDINANCE GRANTING TO GROUP W CABLE, INC. A NON- <br />ExCLUSIUE FRANCHISE FOR THE OPERATION OF A CABLE COMMUNI- <br />CATIONS SYSTEM; AND AMENDING ORDINANCE NOS. 1884 AND 18936. <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN As FOLLOWS: <br />Ordinance Na. 1854 as amended by Ordinance No. 18936 is further amended <br />to provide: <br />section 1. Pur ose. Anon-exclusive franchise is hereby granted to <br />Group W Cable, Inc., hereinafter referred to as "Grantee", to install, con- <br />struct, operate, maintain, reconstruct, and expand a cable communications <br />system within the public streets, ways, alleys, public utility easements, and <br />places of the City of Eugene, hereinafter referred to as "Grantor". This <br />franchise shall constitute both a right and an obligation to provide the ser- <br />vice of a cable communications system as required by the provisions of this <br />ordinance. Amended by Ordinance No. 19359, 10/14/85.} <br />Section 2, Short Title, This ordinance shall be known as the "Metro <br />politan Cable TIC Franchise Ordinance." Amended by Ordinance Nob 19359, <br />10/14185. <br />Section 3. Definitions. For the purpose of this ardi Hance, the fol 1 ow- <br />ing terms have the meaning given herein: <br />"Access Center" means the studio, facilities, and equipment pro- <br />vided for cablecasting non-commercial public, educational, and local govern- <br />ment programming.
