The attached PROS Comprehensive Plan was developed
based on the results of public outreach to thousands of residents of the City through
meetings with neighborhood organizations, and City representatives meeting with
various youth, seniors, adults, people with disabilities and cultural minority interest
groups.

C.
The attached PROS Comprehensive Plan will provide long-range direction
for future strategies and actions to improve parks, provide recreation opportunities, and
protect natural resource values, and will replace the 1989 Eugene Parks and Recreation
Plan as a refinement to the Eugene-Springfield Metropolitan Area General Plan.

D.
On September 15, 2005 the PROS Comprehensive Plan was referred to
the Planning Directors of the City of Springfield and Lane County for review for
consistency with the Metro Plan. Notice of the proposed Plan adoption was delivered
by the City to the Land Conservation and Development Commission on September 2,
2005.
